Experience
Other than my academic and work experience I have freelanced during the past years for multiple projects. I ran part-time a website design company that taught me how to deal with customers and estimate projects. It mostly consisted of WordPress implementations with custom themes and custom plugins as well as Search Engine Optimization, AdWords campaigns, and Analytics landing pages. Most of my customers were self-employed professionals or small businesses.

Undergrad Teacher Assistant
@ University of Montreal
January 2014 - April 2016
The job consisted of giving a two hours practical class following the teacher's theory class. My role was also to help the students with the homework and answer their questions trough emails or on the forum. It was also my responsibility to grade the software the students would submit as homework and give them recommendations on how to improve the quality of the code. These requirements forced me to remain updated with new technologies and better understand and debug faulty code. It also improved my ability to give lectures and to talk to a crowd. Check out my rating @RateMyProfessor.

I've gained a lot of experience during this contractual student position. It allowed me to gain experience working in an office and how to prioritize administrative tasks. Amongst other responsibilities, I had to do followups on purchasing contracts, generate reports, schedule meetings and verify documentation. My advanced knowledge of the Office Suite was very useful.
Customer Representative

Portfolio
Websites
Below you will find a few of the many websites I've had the pleasure to work with throughout the years. Customer satisfaction was always the main priority.
Search Application
Five days challenge to create a search application with a REST API. I built it with Node.js, it has a configurable UI and it's pretty slick. Click on the image below to test it live.
Shopping Cart
An simple shopping cart design that saves the state to a MySQL database. I make use of jQuery and PHP 7 with a simple RESTapi. It's up and running and you can see it in action.
Live chat with Socket.io
An app that makes use of the web sockets protocol to implement a live chat room. No more need for redundant calls to the server or constant updates. It's up and running.
Android Game
A fun game of TicTacToe for android phones and tablets. I build this as part of a school project. It is not on the AppStore but you can still try it and see if you can win.
Java application
A Small project made for school that uses JFrame for the UI. It reads and writes information to text files and allows the user to add information and create reports.
.NET Demos
These are a few basic demos that I build during my VB and .NET classes at University of Montreal. You will need to install the .NET framework for these to work.
